Drought Tolerant

These plants are well-adapted to Seattle's dry summers! These plants have a variety of methods for dealing with drought - some have long taproots that seek out deep sources of water. Others die back to a bulb or corm that doesn't mind drying out.

While these plants are all drought-tolerant once established, they can usually benefit from some water during their first summer to get established.
