Beautiful, delicate early-blooming flowers!
Glacier Lily is a defining mountain flower in much of western North America. It often appears in large patches, covering mountainsides in swathes of yellow. The corms are edible (though should be cooked), and bears will often dig and eat them. Glacier Lily nectar is an important food source for hummingbirds, who migrate from Central America at the same time every spring.
